God says in the Holy Qur'an: "Call to the path of your Lord with wisdom and kindly exhortation..." [Qur'an, 16:125]. Also, the Prophet Muhammad said: "...Whoever travels a path seeking knowledge, Allah shall make the path to Paradise easy for them..." [Narrated by Muslim (Dhikr wad-Du'a wat-Tawba was-tighfar, 36)].

This website has been devised to present an accurate picture of Islam as it has been taught and practiced by the Prophet Muhammad and those that have followed in his transmitted tradition, and to educate both Muslims and non-Muslims about the Islamic religion in the English language.

In this site, you will find reliable and accurate information about Islamic beliefs, practices, personalities, history, civilisation, and much more. The aim is to provide a website that helps Muslims to advance their knowledge of Islam and one that assists in introducing the Islamic faith to non-Muslims.

The site uses translations of Qur'anic verses and Prophetic traditions from the same sources. Our translations of verses of the Qur'an are taken from the fourth edition of 'The Majestic Qur'an', which is edited by Abdal Hakim Murad, Mostafa Badawi and Uthman Hutchinson. This book is published by The Nawawi Foundation.

Whilst navigating this site, you may notice that certain words in the main text are in khaki. If you hover over these words, you will be able to find definitions of these words, and clicking on them will take you to the Glossary of Islamic terms.
